Sketch uploaded here. Recommendation is to keep the interaction the same whether you're on the search in the Guide, or on any other search throughout the site.
We would need a process for collecting this feedback. For now, I'd recommending adding all comments to a Google Doc, for UX team review/processing (another method of collecting feedback from users).
